Copper Run has offices in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Cleveland but serves clients across the U.S. The firm's staff have a combined 100 years of investment banking and related Wall Street experience having been responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring and closing of M&A transactions. The backgrounds of the firm’s employees include stops at: Cantor Fitzgerald, EY, Booz Allen, Morningstar, Morgan Stanley, Huntington, PNC, and others.

 

The firm focuses on providing sell-side and buy-side M&A services primarily for privately owned and publicly listed midsize companies across a variety of industries including manufacturing, business services, energy, and healthcare. The firm's clients are primarily U.S. based with a large percentage in the Midwest. The firm has completed over 100 transactions and our professionals have completed deals with over $11 billion in cumulative transaction value.

 

Now Seeking: Office Manager

We are seeking a full-time Office Manager responsible for office administrative functions, managing our online presence, coordinating meetings and travel, managing marketing initiatives, and organizing events in support of the firm’s mission and strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet, assist and provide direction and information to clients and other guests of the firm

  • Coordinate meetings and organize networking events, firm-wide meetings, and trips

  • Maintain files and documents accessed and utilized by employees firm-wide

  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, sorting mail, preparing documents, coordinating lunch daily, maintaining office supplies, ensuring maintenance of office equipment, tidying up the office, etc.

  • Organize client-related files and documents

  • Maintain digital and print materials

  • Coordinate client and firm mailings

  • Create and implement promotional campaigns and maintain social media accounts

  • Track data and conduct research to aid in marketing to potential clients

  • Provide oversight to firm interns as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, with Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Previous administrative experience in an office setting preferred

  • Attention to detail

  • Friendly with a positive demeanor

  • Professional interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to prioritize and highly organized

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently

  • Desire to learn

  • Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher, with the ability to quickly learn company-specific software

  • Valid driver’s license and access to car (mileage reimbursed)

Investment Banking Professionals

The firm has excess deal flow and is looking for bankers who can immediately help execute these deals as well as originate new ones.  

  • Experience in investment banking, banking, corporate finance, or similar fields;

  • A track record of:

    • sourcing deals (including the ability to originate leads, market the firm to the potential client, and manage the engagement letter negotiation process)

    • marketing deals (the candidate will have strong communication skills both oral and written and a willingness to personally contact potential counterparties for deals)

    • completing transactions (the candidate will have strong execution skills including compiling marketing materials, structuring transactions, and negotiating transactions including bringing deals back on track when they run into the inevitable roadblocks);

  • Capable of effectively leading multiple day-to-day client relationships with the CEOs / business owners over long periods of time and multiple client engagements;

  • Effective at marketing transactions to private equity, strategic buyers, etc. (ideal candidate also has strong existing relationships with said parties but not mandatory)

  • Self-motivated, personable (both with clients and colleagues), enjoys networking, and has a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to have fun and crack a joke.

  • FINRA Series 79, 7, and 63 a plus but not mandatory to start
